Nanowrimo with a Twist

On Editing, Challenges, and Procrastination.

As many of you may know, November is National Novel Writing Month or Nanowrimo for short. Created as a challenge for writers to complete a 50,000-word Manuscript in the month of November, Nanowrimo is something I have attempted several times over. Most of these attempts have been met with varying degrees of failure.

From missed days to lack of motivation, I have more oft than not found myself giving up somewhere around the halfway mark. For this reason I have decided this year to try something a little different. Instead of writing a new novel this November I am challenging myself to finally complete the edits of my finished novel.

Now this is not a small undertaking, and, if successful, it will finally drag me out of my writing rut. As such I have made a comprehensive plan, a set of achievable goals and have set time aside to simply focus on maintaing this progress. I'll be keeping this blog and my various other socials up to date on my progress as I go, so keep an eye out.

Alongside this I have challenged myself to complete no-shave November.

This challange was created as an effort to raise awareness for the struggles that so many men go through with mental health. A cause I dearly care about and something I myself am not unfamiliar with, I will be doing my best to maintain a clean and growing beard and mustache.

Wish me luck everyone and please join me on this Month of Challanges.
